摘要: Abstract The nascent state distributions of OH produced in the reaction H + H2O→OH H2 were probed by fast atom-laser-induced fluorescence experiments. Translationally hot atoms formed photolysis HI at 250 and 270 nm leading to H2O c.m. collision energies E 176 143 kJ/mol. With a calibration method using HNO3 as OH-precursor absolute cross sections 0.27 ± 0.12 A2 (E = kJ/mol) 0.17 0.07 measured. rotational vibrational well are compared with previous theoretical results based on quasiclassical trajectory calculations an ab initio potential energy surface.
