Splenic complications of a pancreatic pseudocyst

摘要: Six patients with pancreatic pseudocyst involving the spleen have been presented. The complications reported included massive hemorrhage into pseudocyst, sepsis splenic infarction, and vein thrombosis. diagnosis of intrasplenic based on clinical findings alone is difficult to arrive at but should be suggested by presence a mass in left upper quadrant. Sonography computerized axial tomography may particularly helpful confirming involvement. Selective celiac arteriography performed whenever involvement order confirm search for pseudoaneurysm formation. Urgent surgical intervention usually warranted view high incidence serious propensity toward rapid deterioration. Resection splenectomy distal pancreatectomy treatment choice.
