摘要: Abstract This paper presents the numerical simulation inside complex geometry drying spaces having hundreds of trays. A set measurements taken in a laboratory experimental rig above one single tray, was used to validate turbulence model most appropriate for analysed configuration. Due change flow direction investigated domain, evaluation velocity components done using five-hole tube connected with “scanivalve” device and differential pressure transducer. The comparison between measured data predicted results from an identical arrangement, led conclusion that standard k – e is adequate model. Extensive air full-scale industrial dryer prediction its parameters different configuration helped optimisation space finally substantial improvement quality dried product together considerable reduction energy consumption.
