摘要: Background pain is prevalent in frail older adults; however, the association of and frailty has not been evaluated yet by a systematic assessment prospective longitudinal studies. Objective we aimed to assess persistent as risk factor for incidence, using data from studies review meta-analysis. Methods publications were identified search on PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library clinicaltrials.gov databases inception October 2017. Since heterogeneity across was high, used random-effects meta-analysis calculate pooled relative between incidence frailty. We investigated sources among meta-regression stratified analyses. Results included five with 13,120 participants (46% women, mean age 59 85 years old). Participants at baseline had twice developing during follow-up (pooled RR = 2.22, 95% CI 1.14-4.29). No variables related study sensitivity Conclusion development Better understanding proper evaluation potential confounders could allow targeted interventions.
