摘要: Bovine coliform mastitis presents treatment challenges because of systemic inflammation and oxidative stress. Soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) is a promising therapeutic target in conditions characterized by stress but has not been evaluated cattle. We compared sEH activity oxidant status healthy Holstein dairy cows to those with (n = 5/group) using complementary approaches. First, the on [3H]-trans-diphenyl-propene oxide (tDPPO) was assessed ex vivo tissue homogenates (mammary, liver, kidney). Second, concentrations substrates metabolites plasma, milk, urine were determined as an index activity. Oxidant serum milk. Data analyzed non-parametric methods. Metabolism tDPPO greater mammary tissues from controls. In contrast, ratios predicted lower than Milk showed prooxidant levels cows. Cows exhibit increased tissue; at same time, milk increased. Future studies should characterize patterns explore therapies targeting during mastitis.
