摘要: Knowledge of the reproductive biology Ceratioidei is reviewed and new scattered evidence brought together in an attempt to reevaluate some previously accepted ideas concerning unique sexual habits these fishes. Notes on taxonomic content, available material, occurrence parasitism, gravid females ripe males ability ingest food independently female are given for each ceratioid family, after which this information summarized discussed. Data presented support at least three strategies utilized by anglerfishes: sexually mature Ceratiidae, Linophrynidae perhaps Neoceratiidae, obligatory parasites; those Caulophrynidae oneirodid genus Leptacanthichthys probably facultative Melanocetidae, Himantolophidae, Gigantactinidae genera, non-parasitic spawn during a nonparasitic, temporary attachment. The four families parasitism has been recorded appear form highly specialized, monophyletic group, most likely derived from oneirodid-like ancestor. If exists ceratioids, particularly it would convenient evolutionary intermediate between ceratioids with whose never become parasitic.
