摘要: Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to study the precipitation kinetics of metastable phases in an Al6061 alloy and a 20 vol % alumina particle reinforced composite. The thermal effects DSC traces were analysed quantitatively. kinetic parameters for phase transformations composite calculated using varying heating rate method Kissinger approach. It found that overall age-hardening sequence did not change due addition Al2O3 particles, but volume fractions various some modified. both obey n-order model. © 1998 Kluwer Academic Publishers
