摘要: Procedural content generation (PCG), the algorithmic creation of game with limited or indirect user input, has much to offer design. In recent years, it become a mainstay AI, significant research being put towards investigation new PCG systems, algorithms, and techniques. But for be absorbed into practice design, must contextualised within design-centric as opposed AI engineering perspectives. We therefore provide set design metaphors understanding potential relationships between designer PCG. These are: tool, material, designer, domain expert. By examining through these metaphors, we gain ability articulate qualities, consequences, affordances, limitations existing approaches in relation are intended both aid designers appropriating their own contexts, advance by highlighting assumptions implicit systems discourse.
