摘要: Experiments were conducted to investigate whether there is a trade-off between hunting ability and starvation tolerance in spiderlings of wandering spider, Pardosa pseudoannulata Boes. et Str. The width the carapace (the cover over cephalothorax) was used as an index ability, larger confirmed being advantageous for capturing prey. Abdomen because individuals with abdomens survived longer under fasting condition. Effects abdomen on examined using multiple regression analysis. found have negative effect but had positive tolerance. Moreover, ratio significantly different among clutches. These results suggested that width, is, tolerance, also might be allocation strategy specific each clutch.
