摘要: This essay – a collection of contributions from 10 scholars working in the field biosemiotics and humanities considers nature culture. It frames this by asking question ‘Why does need humanities?’. Each author writes background their own disciplinary perspective order to throw light upon interdisciplinary engagement with biosemiotics. We start Donald Favareau, whose originary home is ethnomethodology linguistics, then move on Paul Cobley’s contribution general semiotics Kalevi Kull’s followed Cobley (again) Frederick Stjernfelt who contribute learning, Gerald Ostdiek philosophy, Morten Tonnessen focusing ethics particular. Myrdene Anderson anthropology, while Timo Maran Louise Westling provide view literary study. The closes Wendy Wheeler reflecting movement as challenge, often via ecological humanities, kind so-called ‘postmodern’ thinking that has dominated critical thought universities for past 40 years. Virtually all matters gestured outline above are discussed much more satisfying detail topics which follow.
