摘要: The vertebrate neural crest has been, and continues to be, the subject of active investigation, because it offers developmental biologists a unique model system with which study control morphogenesis as well cellular differentiation. Neural cells migrate great distances in embryo move along many diverse pathways. Then, after arriving at their destination or while migrating, they differentiate into dazzling array cell types (for review, see Weston, 1970, 1982; Noden, 1973; Le Douarin, 1980, 1982). Presented such diversity behavior phenotype within one population cells, we are an excellent position exploit these differences use comparative approach investigate major processes. One hopes that understanding differentiation will contribute our knowledge fundamental processes other aspects embryogenesis well.
