摘要: Social networks play an important role in environmental governance regimes, and they are a key to the adaptive capacity of systems that deal with complex, contextual multi-faceted issues. Urban water typical examples complex facing many pressures, such as increased population, quality deterioration, climate change. This paper explores social stakeholders engaged urban management, Makassar City, Indonesia, context exploring ways improve management increasingly system. Three were explored; those constituted by formal informal interactions perceived be “ideal”. Formal identified through examination legislative instruments government agencies’ documents relating provision Makassar, while “ideal” investigated collaboration stakeholders. The research found network was more extensive than formally required networks, investigation created potentially robust system would have occurred inclusion institutional arrangements. We suggest system, one also considers arrangements linkages, this additional information about is necessary enhance our understanding potential adaptation improved systems.
