Dielectric-based leaky-wave antenna for high gain using a printed surface-wave source

摘要: A multilayer leaky-wave antenna (LWA) is presented for microwave and millimetre-wave frequencies. By placing two superstrate dielectric layers on top of a base grounded slab, practical resonant cavity structure can be realised high gain at 17.39 GHz. The compact 6 × cm LWA fed by printed surface-wave source integrated in the bottom ground plane. Measured values are greater than 11 dBi broadside with half power beam less 77°. low cost profile may useful radar applications surveillance systems where lightweight designs interest.
