Central Control of Feeding Behavior by the Secretin, PACAP, and Glucagon Family of Peptides

摘要: Constituting a group of structurally related brain-gut peptides, secretin, PACAP and glucagon family peptide hormones exert their functions via interactions with the class B1 G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). In recent years, roles these peptides in neuroendocrine control feeding behavior have been specific area research focus for development potential therapeutic drug targets to combat obesity metabolic disorders. As result, some members analogues already utilized as agents clinical application. This review aims provide an overview current understanding on important role behavior.
