摘要: The semantic field of animal terms in English was investigated with five experimental techniques: free listing; pair ratings; triad verbal associations; and paired-associates learning. A set 30 animals scaled the pair-rating experiment, a subset six one triad-rating 12 another experiment. same names were stimuli for associations. or responses paired-associate Results showed clear structure, relevant dimensions size ferocity, terms. Furthermore, there little effect scaled, different scaling techniques high correspondence. Different investigative methods gave highly similar clusters animals.
