摘要: The effect of several hot-pressing parameters on the internal mat environment was investigated by using a simulation model. results were compared to experimental data from laboratory-produced flakeboard. pressing included initial moisture content, final panel density, press platen temperature, and closing time. variation temperature total gas pressure during cycle at six points in vertical mid-plane single layer, random structure predicted with heat mass transfer model different conditions. Twenty-four boards manufactured according same specifications, measured thermocouples probes locations. consistently major trends operation. used this study developed based fundamental engineering principles. material physical transport properties best available values literature or estimates judgment. A sensitivity assessed relative importance process. analysis revealed that thermal conductivity permeability have greatest influence results. assessment these experimentally, as function structure, is highly desirable can considerably improve future predictions.
