摘要: Abstract In Canada, there is growing acceptance that tillage erosion a serious form of soil degradation and threat to the sustainability agriculture across country. To date, potential risk for within potato production systems has not been investigated. The objective this study was generate translocation values primary secondary implements common seedbed preparation conventionally conservation tilled in Atlantic Canada. Tillage measured each implement by labelling plot with tracer. tracer redistribution along path used summation curve calculate mean movement direction tillage. results show operation moved vast quantities potentially erosive. Maximum displacement distances were considerably larger project than those reported previous studies looking at and/or implements. All four tested least 3 m, greatest translocated (5.6 m) observed chisel plough (CP) vibrashank (VS). mass (TM) CP, followed mouldboard (MP), VS offset disc (OD). addition, compared travelling downslope, upslope speed reduced 38%, 21%, 32% 12% MP, OD VS, respectively, while depth 6%, 5%, 35% 2%, respectively. It apparent (the CP generally promoted reduce water Canada) (OD VS) can move as much conventional such plough, must be considered when developing plans fields
