摘要: Historically, the study of family resilience was largely disconnected with and treatment trauma. Moreover, most examinations have not adequately accounted for structural ethnic diversity that is increasingly important in United States. This a severe gap knowledge, given minorities tend to experience trauma at disproportionately high rates. For example, American Indian Alaska Natives (AI/ANs) rates violence associated mental health disparities; thus these populations are among vulnerable discussion begins an overview history components trauma-resilience by defining clarifying concepts. Focusing on effective traumatized families, we define trace roots systemic research as it applies AI/AN families other diverse communities. The authors discuss methodological considerations (e.g., gathering level data) identify core treatments highlight empirically supported trauma-informed approaches highlighting fruitful areas helping across contexts. call clinical researchers collaborate practitioners establish evidence-based, practices promote culturally relevant way.
