摘要: Recent srtuctural and dynamical studies of the pristine C70 fullerene in solid state are reviewed. The ellispoidal geometry molecule is characterised by existence an equatorial zone, consisting benzene-like hexagons, joined together fairly long C—C bonds. polar regions strongly resemble C60. Orientational ordering molecules accompanied drastic changes their rotational dynamics occurrence successive structural phase transitions (fcc→ rhombohedral→ monoclinic). Static disorder plays a dominant role crystal chemistry C70. orientational transition from high temperature face-centred cubic structure to low rhombohedral severe hysteresis effects. dynamic behaviour progressively on cooling isotropic anisotropic uniaxial reorientations about unique molecular axis. High pressure diffraction experiments reveal that has smaller compressibility than
