摘要: A total of 202 evaluable cancer patients were randomly assigned to receive or not oral clotrimazole as antifungal prophylaxis during hospitalization. Oropharyngeal candidiasis occurred in 1% the former and 27% latter (P less than .00001). Candida sp cultured from initial throat specimens 53 control 55 who received prophylaxis. subsequently developed 2% 38% = Oral is an effective agent for oropharyngeal susceptible patients.
