摘要: The clinical features, changes in blood and peritoneal fluid results of therapy are described 32 cattle suffering from peritonitis. important findings were depression, anorexia, reduced water intake, reduction milk yield, moderate to severe dehydration, increased heart respiration rates, or nil rumen motility, varying degrees abdominal distension, scanty faeces complete loss defecation. Reticular radiography revealed foreign bodies half the animals. haematological alterations increase number neutrophils, reversal lymphocyte neutrophil ratio, left shift toxic neutrophils. Biochemical analysis total bilirubin, AST, GGT, BUN, glucose, lactate whereas albumin, chloride calcium decreased. Abnormal altered consistency colour, volume, specific gravity protein, neutrophelia presence degenerated bacteria gut contents. therapeutic management with different antibiotic combinations supportive resulted recovery five cases only. From present study, it was concluded that prognosis peritonitis has be precisely assessed on basis both examination. On overall marked neutrophils along unfavourable indicative poor prognosis.
