One-pot synthesis of multicomponent pyrazole-4-carbonitrile derivatives under solvent-free condition by using engineered polyvinyl alcohol catalyst

摘要: Heterocyclic chemistry has fascinated the researchers owing to its wide range of applications in various chemical fields. With this perspective, herein we present an environmentally benign procedure for synthesis pyrazole and derivatives through multicomponent reaction by using SPVA as a heterogeneous acid catalyst. The protocol catalyst includes functionalization polyvinyl alcohol sulfonic groups. synthesized was then subjected several characterization techniques confirm formation study physicochemical properties. tested activity toward aromatic aldehyde, malononitrile phenyl hydrazine. with sufficient acidic sites displayed appreciable catalytic performance yielding 89% desired product under ambient conditions. showed recyclability up sixth cycle without considerable loss activity. Furthermore, made effort demonstrate plausible mechanistic pathway SPVA-catalyzed reaction. Interestingly, synthetic approach could effectively produce products high yields absence base solvent short time making it green sustainable process.
