摘要: Unlike the other three major methods of enzyme immobilization, which emphasize “microenvironment,” encapsulation enzymes emphasizes “intracellular environment” and proteins (Figure 1). Here, solution or suspension is encapsulated enveloped within a membrane system in such way that creates an intracellular environment for enzymes, preventing them from leaking out coming into direct contact with external environment. Large molecules as cells cannot cross to interact enclosed enzymes. Substrates are permeable can equilibrate rapidly across be acted on by inside, product diffuse out. case gel entrapment, involves entrapping individual polymer lattices, encapsulation, any concentration, volume, amount envelopes different configurations. This principle allowing type concentration cells, cell extracts allows extremely large variation composition, configuration, content. chapter brief review general principles preparation proteins, emphasis artificial cells. Only made forms since they will dealt detail later chapters.
