Development of a Theoretically Based Treatment for Sentence Comprehension Deficits in Individuals with Aphasia.

摘要: We have developed two new treatments, one based on sentence to picture matching (SPM) and the other object manipulation (OM), that train patients relationship between syntactic structure meanings of sentences. Fifteen with aphasia were identified basis screening tests for comprehension (SPM & OM) different structures. Treatment stimuli comprise WH- movement structures NP as well untrained control Results show both treatments are effective in improving trained although OM task is more than SPM task.
