Portable smart films for ultrasensitive detection and chemical analysis using SERS and SERRS

摘要: Metallic nanostructures, much smaller than the wavelength of visible light, which support localized surface plasmon resonances, are central to giant signal enhancement achieved in surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and resonance (SERRS). Plasmonic driven SERS SERRS is a powerful analytical tool for ultrasensitive detection down single molecule detection. For all practical applications key issue development reproducible portable SERS-active substrates, where most widely used metals nanostructure fabrication silver gold. Here, we report ‘smart film’, containing gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), produced by situ reduction chloride III (Au+3) natural rubber (NR) membranes applications. The composite films (NR/AuNP membranes) show characteristic absorption Au notably do not influence mechanical properties NR membranes. term film’ has with fact that substrate (smart film) flexible standalone, allows one take it anywhere dip into solutions analyte be characterized or technique.
