摘要: Abstract The article examines the continuing attempts to streamline and strengthen institutional structure of ASEAN, including ASEAN Secretariat, facilitate intra‐regional cooperation enhance regional association's effectiveness as a major building block in Asia‐Pacific‐wide economic security dialogues. widening norms consolidation institutions have been protracted processes. But post‐cold war concerns region, together with need for more effective coordination activities well impending membership Vietnam all generated new pressures adjustments. concludes by identifying areas where further may be necessary.
