摘要: Abstract Background: Breakthrough pain is an extremely painful symptom that impairs quality of life in cancer patients. It negatively impacts their emotional wellbeing, physical function, and mental health. The aim this study to use a qualitative methodology examine the perception patients with breakthrough Northwest China. Methods: A semi-structured, face-to-face interview was conducted nine who experienced pain; content analysis performed. Results: Five themes were generated: (1) sufferings from pain, (2) hopelessness helplessness, (3) analgesia, (4) strong as Chinese, (5) support needed health care system. Conclusion: Although certain traditional cultural worldviews increase patients' acceptance healthcare providers need proper treatment guidelines improve patient We recommend workers hospital managers place management higher priority. Relevant education programs should be provided both knowledge these area. Healthcare professionals establish mutual communication channel between meet needs during episodes order management. Nevertheless, government system recognize importance urgency palliative services.
