摘要: Abstract One of the available methods for control scale deposition in water desalination processes is addition such compounds as polyphosphates trace quantities. More recently, synthetic organic polyelectrolytes have been used this connection. The mechanism by which these inhibitors act has not extensively studied. A study made effects a wide variety polyelectrolyte additives on nucleation and crystal growth calcium sulphate dihydrate from supersaturated aqueous solution. results show that degree inhibition at given supersaturation depends upon chemical nature additive, concentration molecular weight and, if additive contains ionisable groups, pH crystallizing
