摘要: Background. Undernutrition among adult tribal women is a major health problem in India. Objectives. To compare the utility of two different anthropometric indicators chronic energy deficiency (CED) Kora Mudi and to determine which these better indicator undernutrition. Methods. A cross-sectional study 123 individuals was conducted. The body mass index (BMI) mid-upper-arm circumference (MUAC) were used evaluate CED. Results. prevalence CED based on BMI less than 18.5 55.3%, MUAC 22.0 cm 51.2%. Both rates are classified very high-prevalence category (≥ 40%) indicate critical situation according World Health Organization recommendations. Mean increased significantly with higher quartile MUAC. There significant difference between quartiles. risk ratio for lowest 9.33 compared those highest quartile. positive association BMI. Regression analysis demonstrated that had impact BMI; percentage variation explained by 52%. Logistic regression overall, 82.11% cases correctly use diagnosed 82.35% 81.82% normal nutritional status. Conclusions. This population facing severe stress. With limited resources absence skilled manpower, it may be more appropriate human surveys, particularly populations developing countries.
