摘要: The indoleamine serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine [5HT]) plays an important role as a chemical messenger in the adult central nervous system (CNS) and periphery, regulating host of diverse processes, including mood, sleep, sexual drive, gastrointestinal motility, thyroid function, vasoconstriction (38,55). Though more than half dozen distinct 5HT receptor subtypes exist to confer specific actions on target cells (45), single gene product (11,51,71,102) encoding transporter (SERT), appears be exclusively responsible for inactivation extracellular 5HT. SERTs are members large family Na+ Cl− coupled, plasma membrane transporters (1,10),most closely related sequence 1-norepinephrine (NE) (NET) ((73,96) dopamine (DA) (DAT) (44,60,113,119). SERT expression CNS predominantly, if not exclusively, neuronal (5,11,20,100), restricted serotonergic neurons raphe complex their projections. Clearance synaptic extrasynaptic principal SERTs; however, certain cells, notably platelets (100,116), utilize acquire from environment subsequent release, since they lack essential biosynthetic machinery synthesis. have also been identified intestinal crypt epithelia (121), adrenal chromaffin (13,118), mast (51), medullary carcinoma (21), follicular (117), placenta (8).
