摘要: This article addresses some of the implications EU's proposed Marine Strategy Directive for ongoing work in regional seas conventions and national on marine strategies. The starting point is directive's focus ecosystem approach to protection environment. Key elements within this are analysed, such as integration environmental considerations into other policy areas; introduction ecological quality objectives; establishment holistic monitoring assessment programmes.
