摘要: We have cloned a new member of the sialyltransferase gene family from newborn rat brain cDNA using polymerase chain reaction and degenerate primers based on sequences found in continuous region homology present three previously sialyltransferases. The predicted amino acid sequence contains 24 31 acids that are invariantly conserved sialyltransferases encodes type II transmembrane protein characteristic glycosyltransferases. In contrast to genes, expression is highly restricted, being abundantly expressed but not adult or any other tissues.
