摘要: Besides their essential bioenergetic role in supplying ATP, heart mitochondria play a central the regulatory and signaling events that occur response to physiological stresses, including but not limited failure (HF), myocardial ischemia reperfusion (I/R), hypoxia, oxidative stress (OS), hormonal cytokine stimuli. Research on both intact cardiac skeletal muscle tissue cultured cardiomyocytes has just begun probe nature extent of mitochondrial involvement interorganelle communication, hypertrophic growth, cell death. In this chapter, we examine under perspective receiver/integrator transmitter signals, dissecting multiple interrelated pathways playing at molecular biochemical levels with particular focus nuclear cytoplasmic factors involved shaping organelles’ responses, gauging effect have (as receiver, integrator, signals) phenotype.
