The contents camphora, mentholum, isoborneol borneol in are determined by gas chromatography. purpose the study detect control loss four volatile components through production standing guarantee curative effect. Chromatographic analysis was performed on GC-4004 chromatograph(FID). column 3 mm i.d. x 2 m stainless steel tube packed with 7% PEG-1500 100-110 mesh 102 non-silanized white support. FID temperatures were 115 degrees C 180 respectively. H2 carrier gas, 30 mL/min. Internal standard method used for quantitative estimation naphthalene as internal standard. linear ranges at least within 50-450 mg/L (r = 0.9999, n 4). correction factors 1.262-1.286 RSDs 0.32%-1.5%(n 12). recoveries 98.44%-101.9%. In comparison theoretical contents, average percentages 71.72% (camphora), 65.60% (mentholum) 66.31% (isoborneol + borneol). samples pretreated means isothermal (35 C) water-bath extraction acetone 6 times hours each.
