摘要: Tumor DNA content has been described as having prognostic significance in patients with colorectal carcinoma. It unclear, however, whether tumor ploidy a factor is independent of various standard variables such depth invasion and lymph node involvement by the tumor. We retrospectively examined 77 who were diagnosed between 1974 1980 had resectable Dukes' stage A, B, or C carcinomas. The each was analyzed flow cytometry on paraffin-embedded specimens. Both for aneuploid B tumors entire group tumors, disease-free overall survival times significantly shorter than those diploid Logistic regression analysis demonstrated that aneuploidy an variable predicting recurrent disease well death from cancer. was, fact, single most important among all clinical pathologic studied. Thus, carcinoma appears to play role indicating biologic aggressiveness disease. ( JAMA 1986;255:3123-3127)
