摘要: Forest resource growth, harvests, and land use conversion can change inventories within States, among regions, even countries, significantly influence the future performance of resources. This could affect State, regional, national economies that depend on affected resources, as well environments. Periodic surveys provide information needed to assess current status estimate their condition. As required by Rangeland Renewable Resources Planning Act 1974 (RPA), P.L. 93-378, 88 Stat. 4765, amended, this report updates Nation?s forest resource. statistics published Smith et al. (2001). For brevity balance in presenting reporting periods tabular outputs, RPA Assessment data for 1963, 1970, 1992 have been omitted from report. To a context evaluating interpreting changes resource, 1953, 1963 (some tables), 1977, 1987, 1997 are included.
