摘要: Immunosuppressive therapy is used to manage a variety of medical conditions. Common examples include hematologic malignancies; pulmonary diseases associated with chronic inflammation like asthma, emphysema, and cystic fibrosis; autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, myasthenia gravis, name only few. In addition, immunosuppressive essential in the management expanding population organ transplant recipients. The armamentarium agents currently available includes glucocorticoids, cyclosporines tacrolimus, azathioprine mycophenolate mofetil, methotrexate. Unfortunately, several these have deleterious effects on skeleton. Glucocorticoids are well-known cause osteoporosis (1–3). (4,5) methotrexate (6) also been shown adversely affect bone mineral metabolism. This chapter will review pathogenesis, diagnosis therapy.
