摘要: Well-defined ruthenium carbene complexes of type 1 introduced by Grubbs et al. are among the most popular and useful metathesis catalysts known to date. They combine a high activity with an excellent tolerance towards polar functional groups provide access carbo- heterocycles almost any ring size closing (RCM) diene substrates. This includes even medium-sized macrocyclic rings. The design mode action these related will be outlined their performance illustrated some selected applications synthesis complex natural products. Moreover, promising developments concerning new generation ruthenium-based (i.a. allenylidene 2), as well recent advancements use supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) reaction medium for RCM, discussed.
