摘要: A fraction extracted from Mycobacterium bovis strain BCG, which was composed of 70.0% DNA, 28.0% RNA, 1.3% protein, 0.20% glucose, and 0.1% lipid no detectable amounts cell wall components such as alpha, epsilon-diaminopimelic acid hexosamine, found to possess strong antitumor activity. Repeated intralesional injection this fraction, designated MY-1, without attachment oil or a single MY-1 emulsified in mineral caused the IMC carcinoma CDF1 mice line 10 tumor 2 guinea pigs regress and/or prevented metastasis very effectively. after digestion with RNase, contained 97.0% single-stranded DNA guanine-cytosine content 69.8%, more effective than undigested against tumor, while digested DNase, had reduced activity, suggesting that BCG possessed activity under certain conditions. Details extraction procedures physicochemical characterization were also described.
