摘要: The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate the incidence of, causes and risk factors for readmission hospital ≤30 days after discharge patients who underwent radical gastrectomy gastric cancer. A total 2,023 operations from November 2010 July 2017 in our hospital. Of these, 60 (3.0%) were readmitted within 30 their original discharge. median time span between index 14 8 days. main reasons intestinal obstruction (n = 10, 16.7%), intra-abdominal fluid collection (n = 9, 15.0%), abdominal pain (n = 7, 11.7%), nutritional difficulty (n = 4, 6.7%) anastomotic leakage 6.7%). Five (8.3%) required intensive care 4 (6.7%) died sudden cardiac arrest, gastrointestinal bleeding, sepsis or multiple organ dysfunctions. Multivariate analysis revealed that post-operative complications (Odds Ratio = 5.116, 95% confidence interval: 2.885–9.073, P < 0.001) only independent factor readmission. Thus, appropriate strategies on close follow-ups these high-risk should be drawn up order enhance significantly quality care.
