摘要: Mid-trimester biochemical screening of 38143 pregnancies in south-east Scotland revealed 127 cases (0·34 per cent) which the maternal serum (MS) intact human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) concentration was 4 multiples median singleton (MOM). Three were lost to follow-up but 72 (58 complications developed or there associated fetal abnormalities. This percentage greatest at very high hCG concentrations, 92 cent with 10 MOM (n=12) compared 48 concentrations 4–4·99 (n=69). 22 had an MS alpha-fetoprotein 2 addition MOM, and only 3 these pregnancy uneventful; 86 abnormalities complications.
