摘要: Rayleigh scattering and laser Doppler velocimetry were used to study density velocity statistics in a strongly heated turbulent boundary layer with free stream U∞ = 19 m/sec wall temperature Tw 1100 °K. Mean rms fluctuation profiles of found be self‐preserving, the not significantly affected by heating. Streamwise profiles, mean deduced from data compared Townsend’s self‐preserving analysis. It was that heating caused reduction Reynolds stress within thermal layer. This phenomenon explained reference structures observed high speed schlieren movies.
