摘要: Centrifugation and microfiltration (MF) were used for primary clarification of raw bottle gourd juice. The optimized conditions (time speed) centrifugation those MF (transmembrane pressure drop [TMP] cross flow rate) determined using response surface methodology. Clarified juice was analyzed in terms clarity, total solids, protein, polyphenol, soluble sodium potassium. performance both these methods compared based on the quality clarified power consumption. Microfiltered had enhanced clarity (97%), but polyphenol concentration less (8 mg GAE/100 mL) with (13 mg GAE/100 mL). Practical Applications Bottle is a traditional medicinal plant. Its has tremendous therapeutic qualities including antidiabetic, anticarcinogenic cardioprotective properties. It rich source various vitamins, minerals like potassium antioxidants flavonoids. Therefore, extraction subsequent followed by fractionation would lead to selective separation medicinally nutritionally important bioactive components. This can be attained remove undesirable higher sized molecules suspended materials more specialized membrane-based process. present work highlights comparison as extract. Thus, this direct relevance an initial step final scaled up production unit.
