摘要: This final report compared the efficacy of four 6-month chemotherapy regimens 30 months after completion treatment. All patients received isoniazid, rifampin, and ethambutol daily in hospital for first 8 wk One group continued to receive these 3 drugs as outpatients an additional 18 wk; a second same twice-weekly, third once-weekly during 18-wk "continuation phase." A fourth 2 drugs, isoniazid twice-weekly continuation phase. Drug toxicity was not major problem; were permanently discontinued only 1% patients. 4 highly effective achieving sputum negativity. However, relapse rate found be relatively high all (range, 22%).
