摘要: Abstract To explore the role of endogenous retroviruses in radiation-induced leukemogenesis mouse, we have examined virus-encoded proteins nine BALB/c leukemias by pulse-chase labeling procedures and serological typing with monospecific monoclonal antibodies. The major gag precursor protein, Pr65 , was observed all cases, but only three expressed detectable amounts glycosylated species, gP95 or its precursor, Pr75 . No evidence found for synthesis -host fusion proteins. None released infectious xenotropic dualtropic virus, at least one env protein properties. In two instances a antibody, 35 56 which is specific MuLV G IX antigen, displayed distinctive reactivity this class although antibody unreactive replicating viruses. An ecotropic/xenotropic recombinant same phenotype leukemia induced strongly leukemogenic virus isolated from radiation leukemia.
