摘要: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to address and solve operational problems an automotive industry in reaching production target by adopting Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) as lean productivity improvement strategies. Design/methodology/approach In the undertaken case auto-car rear window assembly line, a recurring shortfall fulfilling daily demand seemingly due inappropriate work method. Initial observation operations led suspect certain lapses initiatives adopt time standards, reduce or eliminate non-value added motions, design suitable aisle assign tasks among workstations balanced manner. Subsequently attempt made pinpoint causes poor performance bottlenecks through process flow analysis study applying MOST. The elemental are closely examined for possible reduction workstation times choosing efficient methods with ergonomic features. Thus appropriate hand tools, jigs fixture nominal investment prescribed incorporate works. changes steered MOST application have enhanced workflow shorter cycle which substantial increase productivity. Findings The line increased more than 29 percent from earlier capacity deemed meet current level demand. Originality/value The adopted framework recognizing effectiveness expose rectify flaws without much expected be beneficial manufacturer securing competitiveness.
