摘要: Abstract An analytic model is developed for evaluating the extractable energy from high pulsed erbium-ytterbium co-doped fiber amplifiers and lasers. The extraction capabilities under limitation of spurious lasing, due to amplified spontaneous emission (ASE), are mapped various numerical apertures, single multi transverse mode evolution operating wavelengths. provides an assessment maximum pulse that can be extracted a given fiber. In addition, used determine repetition rate optimal length, which laser source will optimally operated in order achieve required energy, without lasing. results show clear advantage using 915 nm wavelength pump over 975 nm, at average power operation, augmented 1 μm ASE 975 nm wavelength, as result Yb3+ population inversion.
