摘要: During the selection of monoclonal antibodies (Mab) raised against purified carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) two Mabs were identified which immunoprecipitated a glycoprotein 95kD present in perchloric acid extracts normal lung and on surface granulocytes. One these antigens had molecular weight 55kD, other one 95kD. When tested frozen sections colon carcinomas, spleen, pancreas each type Mab gave clearly different pattern reactivity. The binding NCA-55 stained granulocytes as well bronchiolar alveolar epithelial cells inter- intralobular duct apithelial pancreas, whereas NCA-95 only granulocytes1. is expressed dependence from maturation stage studied cells2 codey by CGM6 gene codes3,4. Although much known concerning structure tissue distribution antigens, recently have researchers reported possible biological roles for NCA CEA. OIKAWA et al.5 proposed that functions homotypic adhesion molecule, function similar to suggested CEA6. His conclusions based observation an increase cell-cell aggregation Chinese hamster ovary following transfection cDNA. LEUSCH al7 described bacterial properities CEA provided evidence has properities. relevance findings it relates granulocytes, however, remains be determined.
