摘要: Different cellular proteins of the gastric campylobacter-like organism (GCLO) were shown to be immunogenic for man. Antibodies GCLO detected in sera by both complement fixation and enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay. Antibody was found 133 (52%) 254 patients attending gastroscopy. There a high correlation between presence antibody positive culture from mucus. Patients with normal endoscopic appearances, duodenal ulcer, duodenitis oesophagitis had similar prevalences (c. 50%) antibody. Only endoscopically visible gastritis or ulcer higher frequency 80%) In population, uncommon individuals less than 20 years old, but prevalence increased (to c. age. little evidence support an important pathological role disorders upper gastrointestinal tract, although possibility that it may co-factor pathogenesis cannot excluded.
