A pivotal component this ‘vision’ is planning and provision information technology (IT) infrastructure multi-billion dollar urban mega-project Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). purpose my paper twofold. First, I situate official document for MSC entitled Physical Design Guidelines activity transnational practice. Second, argue that thematic series organizing concepts practices can be identified document. These work two ways: first, by representing highly positioned notions sub-urban, middle-class design conventional specific North American cities as universally applicable to, desirable for, broader national development goals intended to lead; second, creating ‘total image’ suggests apparently seamless relationship between proper citizens it at every imaginable scale. One important effect these plans material transformation rural landscape production into consumption. This raises question who belong ‘nation’ being (re)imagined via MSC.
